The Leadership Group For Data Leaders
The Data Leaders Community of Practice is designed to help you develop into a more confident and effective data leader in your company. When you join a relevant cohort of data leaders from different companies, you'll gain valuable insights and actionable strategies in confidential discussion forums on topics relevant for your role as a data leader.Learn more:
Who is this for? For leaders of data science, analytics, AI/ML, and data engineering teams.
Why is this needed? So data leaders can become more effective and confident in their roles as they lead the data strategies in their companies.
What is the format? Each cohort of data leaders meets monthly to confidentially discuss topics relevant to the challenges of data leaders. The group mutually agrees on these topics in advance, which could include 1) AI adoption, 2) data technologies and vendors, 3) managing stakeholders, 4) employee performance management, 5) team branding, and 6) career development. To foster the best productive discussions, we limit the size of each cohort up to 8 people. For the best open and impactful discussions, the group adheres to a confidentiality policy, and employees from the same company are put into different cohorts.
How will this benefit me? You'll gain confidence and actionable strategies to enhance your role as a data leader. You'll acquire valuable insights and network connections from others in the industry. You'll learn how to handle challenges for data leaders directly from other data leaders in a confidential forum. Accelerate your career in your company and in the industry with the insights you gain from this group.
When are the meetings? Each cohort meets monthly for 6 months. The in-person and virtual meetings are scheduled for dates and times that the cohort mutually agrees on. We can place you into a cohort that can accommodate your availability.
Where are the meetings? Some of the cohorts meet in-person in areas like the SF Bay Area, while other cohorts are designed to be virtual by Zoom only. See additional info for the latest schedule or contact us for info.

Hojeong Kim: Hojeong is a data science leader with experience in startups and tech giants like LinkedIn and Twilio. With a Ph.D. in Physics, she has led data science, analytics, and data engineering teams. Now a full-time coach, she has facilitated group programs for over two decades, focusing on career and technical development. Jimmy Wong: Jimmy is a data science leader with over 27 years of experience in the industry. As a graduate of UCLA and Stanford, he has received numerous awards for his work in the field, and is a frequent speaker at industry events. Jimmy has led data science teams in multiple monetization businesses at LinkedIn for 12 years, where he was recognized with both a Leadership Award and a Motivational Champion Award.
